About Dr Bish Dutta

After migrating to Australia in 1970, Dr Dutta trained as a registrar in anatomical pathology at Prince of Wales, Prince Henry and then Royal Prince Alfred hospitals. He was awarded fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 1974. After one year as a senior registrar in anatomical pathology at Adelaide Children’s Hospital, Dr Dutta returned to Sydney where he founded his own dermatopathology practice, Dutta Pathology which ran for 33 years. Dr Dutta has co-authored and published many dermatopathology articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals including the Australasian Journal of Dermatology and American Journal of Surgical Pathology. An avid educator delivering dermatopathology tutorials to dermatology and pathology registrars for 25 years, Dr Dutta was awarded an Associate College Membership by the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2008. In 2012, the Mayo Clinic in the USA, selected Dr Dutta to define current expert opinion on clinical information provided on dermatopathology request forms. A regular presenter of scientific papers at national and international societies of dermatopathology, Dr Dutta was invited to speak at the 2015 Symposium of the International Society of Dermatopathology in India.
