About Dr Adrian Cachia

Dr Adrian Cachia graduated Medicine from the University of Sydney in 1989. After passing the Part 1 examination of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1991, he went on to train in Anatomical Pathology developing an interest in dermatopathology at the Prince Henry and St George Hospitals in Sydney. He published molecular biology research into melanoma and has co-authored several scientific papers in dermatology and pathology. A Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia, Dr Cachia developed his expertise in dermatopathology at the Skin & Cancer Foundation Australia under the guidance of Professor Kossard. He then joined SDS Pathology as its Medical Director. Among many accomplishments, Dr Cachia is a former President of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society, a former Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine and a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. An expert in the design and management of large and complex legal and medical systems and laboratory processes, Dr Cachia is also passionate about quality assurance and scientific excellence in dermatopathology.
